Casper,
Wyoming was settled in the 1800’s on the famous North Platte River and
Casper is now the second largest city in Wyoming. The Casper area has a
diversity of terrain and lies approximately 270 miles from the
Yellowstone National Park.
For wildlife enthusiasts the Casper area has a lot to offer, so don’t
forget your binoculars.
Casper is the home of Vice President Richard Cheney.
If you are a history buff one of the places you must visit is the
National Historic Trails Center. The center shows you what pioneer life
was like for the people who traveled the Oregon Trail, California Trail,
Mormon Trail, Bridger Trail, and the Pony Express Trail. Be sure to view
the simulated crossing of the North Platte River. This will give you
some inkling of what our ancestors went through to settle our great
country. Take the time to visit Casper. You will make more good
memories. |
