West
Yellowstone, Montana is a town that has really started growing over the
past few years. The town has added quite a few new hotels and some great
looking log cabin rentals along with more restaurants and fast food
establishments. The downtown area has abundant shopping to while away
your evenings.
A favorite attraction is the Grizzly Bear encounter, where you may visit
Grizzly Bears and Gray Wolves up close, but not in a strict zoo
environment. The bears in this attraction were nuisance animals and for
various and sundry reasons were captured and brought to West
Yellowstone. The alternative is killing them.
The way the animals are fed is unique, their food is hidden under rocks,
logs, or in tree snags, so the bears are able to use their natural
instincts to find and get the food.
In the winter this is a great place to use as your base to enjoy the
many winter activities available in Yellowstone National Park, such as
snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and anything you like to do in snow,
because West Yellowstone has an abundance of the white stuff.
So, whether you prefer spring, summer, fall, or winter you will enjoy
your visit to West Yellowstone, Montana. Stop dreaming; get moving, no
time like the present. |
