Montana can boast of
having two National Parks, some say the two most beautiful and awe
inspiring in the world. Glacier National Park with over one million
acres included in its boundaries and our first National Park Yellowstone
National Park with over two million acres
Glacier National Park is a land of mountains, living glaciers forests
alpine meadows and lakes and is home to over seventy species of mammals.
Yellowstone National Park hosts over two million visitors each year to
view the volcanic type activities of geysers, mud pots, and hot springs.
Some visitors to both parks come strictly to see the animals roam freely
in the parks including Elk, Bison, Mule Deer and Grizzly Bears.
Montana also has forty two state parks for residents and visitors to
visit and enjoy.
Montana has evolved from its days of mining gold, silver, and copper to
a state with a diversified economy and is planted solidly in the
information age.
Montana is the fourth largest state in the union based on total area
but the population in Montana is only about nine hundred thousand
residents with the majority of the population settled in the western one
third of the state. The eastern two thirds of the state are scarcely
populated.
Montana is a top tourist destination in all seasons ,outdoor activities
begin in the spring and run through the winter .Spring and summer bring
the campers, hikers, backpackers, horse back riders and people who just
enjoy the great outdoors.
Fly fishing popularity has never been greater than now with thousands
more taking up the sport each year. The streams in Yellowstone National
Park are a great place to try your luck for the elusive trout. Serious

Fall brings the opportunity to enjoy some of the best big game hunting
in North America including trophy Elk and Mule Deer.
