When it opened back in 1954, the Showboat Hotel &
Casino quickly earned a reputation for friendly service,
outstanding dining, exciting gaming action and great
entertainment. In March 2000, the Showboat changed hands,
and the new owners have reached back into Las Vegas' past
and re-christened the "Flagship of the Boulder Strip" with
a historic name filled with tradition: the Castaways.
