Hilton Head Island is considered one of the finest resorts in the United States. Perhaps it is why this area is called South Carolina’s Treasured Coast. Although only twelve miles long and five miles wide, Hilton Head Island packs a lot of activities in its small size. Hilton Head Island has some of the most gorgeous white sand beaches which you will ever gaze upon. Residents and visitors enjoy riding bicycles on the beaches at low tide, the sand is smooth and hard packed and so much more enjoyable than riding on hot pavement.
For the enthusiast there are riding stables on the island and numerous bridle paths, so saddle up which horse and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine which seems to always be present on Hilton Head Island.
Being an island of course boating is a very popular sport, whether you prefer canoes, kayaks or sailboats they are all readily available to the guests of Hilton Head Island. Charter boats for fishing off shore are readily available and the fishing in this area is terrific.
Other water sports you may try while here are windsurfing and parasailing. There are cruise boats available for the guest who would prefer someone else to do the work.
