Charleston is much more than its historic district, but if you are a

fascinating items for sale, or buy fresh produce right out of a local
farmer’s field; you just can’t get anything fresher than this. Stand by
and watch women weave baskets while you are there, watching their
fingers fly and creating something the same way their ancestors did is
amazing.
Charleston has several wonderful museums which are well worth your time
to visit, especially the ones which have displays of civil war artifacts
and photographs; these are very informative and will bring this period
of American history alive for you. A conversation with some of the
lovely ladies who work in these museums will be a pure delight to your
ears. They have lovely southern accents and some of these women will
make you wonder if the civil war ended only last week and if the South
really was defeated.
Charleston offers some of the finest dining which is available any where
in the world. Dishes of seafood are superbly seasoned as only the low
country residents know how. The restaurants offer anything and
everything you could desire and it is all delicious food.
The lodging in Charleston is as enjoyable as the city itself with a wide
range of choices and a good one for which special getaway with your
favorite companion would be one of the historic inns. Charleston is a
